First to perform is Pinoy Boy Band Super Star Allen Cecilio.

Next is Jamie Riviera who sang from her Christmas Album "My Christmas Gift".  She also showed her support by convincing the crowd to watch Star Cinemas upcoming movies The Super Parental Guards and Vince and Kath and James.

They did the Ang Kulit Dance for TV Patrol.  And, they invited everyone to watch The Super Parental Guardians Opening on November 30, 2016.

How to Spot the One: The Best Features of OPPO F1s

We’ve all experienced it all before, going to countless blind dates and events, thinking that we would finally find the one, our destiny.  But every single time, we find ourselves disappointed with the results.  Sure, there were a couple of guys who really stood out and exceed during our first dates, but after a few more dates, we realize that FIRST IMPRESSIONS DON’T REALLY LAST.  Over time, we find out that who we thought is Mr. Right would actually just be Mr. Right now.

The same is true with choosing the perfect smartphone.  Every time we find ourselves looking for the perfect phone to satisfy our needs, we always stumble upon countless claims of being the best phone ever existing.  And yet, after a few months of using that phone, we realize that it wasn’t as perfect as we thought it would be.  Some would stuck up while you’re at a crucial moment of replying to your boss, some would just suddenly shut off right at the cliff hanger of a movie you chose to watch on it. 

And because I am so tired of all these disappointments, both with my love life and my smartphone, I have come up with the perfect checklist to make sure that the person, or the phone that I have in my life, is definitely the one!

CHECKLIST #1:

And no, I’m not talking about all those muscles here, though a sexy, muscular guy is always a plus!   This aspect actually talks about how hard the guy is willing to try to keep your relationship going.  And a way to check this is through his past relationships.  How long were his past relationships?  A series of past relationships lasting for just a month is definitely a WARNING sign, most of the time.  But always remember to also hear out the reason why.

When it comes to buying a smartphone, a measure of its strength that you can use is its processor.  An octa-core is definitely more powerful than a quad-core in most instances. But more than that, it’s also important to check the Random Access Memory (RAM) of the phone because a very small RAM may limit the phone’s performance big-time!

CHECKLIST #2:

Yet again, I’m not talking about whether the guy sitting across from you has 20-20 vision.  I’m actually pertaining to what it is that the guy wants in his life, or particularly, what he wants the two of you to be for the months or years to come.  And this is important because if a guy only wants you as his friend, then you better get a move on!

When it comes to a smartphone, the vision I’m pertaining to is more literal.  Can it take awesome pictures?  Because for some people like me, I actually want my smartphone to be the only gadget that I need to get by.  So as such, I should be willing to forego buying a DSLR because my phone already kicking ass in the photography department.

CHECKLIST #3:

If you haven’t seen how frustrated Adam Sandler was in the movie ’50 First Dates’, believe me, it is definitely not easy to be with someone who has to ask you who you are every time you meet each other.  And in fact, we actually love those guys who can remember all those special dates and even  the smallest things about you.  And so, if you meet someone with a sharp memory, you might want to hold onto them.

The same is true with the smartphone.  A smartphone with a small internal memory can be really frustrating, especially when you want to install as much applications as you want.  And not to mention all those pictures and videos you couldn’t save all because there’s not enough room in your storage.

CHECKLIST #4:

While I’m pretty sure there are still a lot of perfect guys out there, waiting for their own Miss Right, I also believe that not all of them are reachable.  Sure, it’s nice to dream about celebrities falling in love with us, but when we do our reality check, we realize that it’s never going to happen.  So go for someone who you can actually get, like that next-door neighbor, or that office mate that’s been secretly admiring you, waiting for your queue to let them in.

And likewise, there will always be those flagship phones which everyone would always admire but would not always afford.  Just like how I can only afford the mid-range phones, I often avoid checking out those flagship phones because I know I can’t afford them.  Instead, I go for the phone which I know can fit my budget and still comply with my checklist.

Unfortunately, after months of looking for my ideal guy using this checklist, I still haven’t found him.  But my luck actually isn’t that bad because I actually found my ideal smartphone - Oppo F1s!

ASUS Zenvolution: Zenfone 3, Zenbook 3 and Zen Transformer 3 Launch

I've been so happy with my Asus Zenfone 2 which I've shared last year so I was thrilled to be invited to this year's ASUS Zenvolution. 

Unlike last year, Asus Zenfone 2 was released before the other models.  This year, Asus Philippines launched all Zenfone 3 series, Zenbook 3 series and Zen Transformer 3 series in one event.  Yes, it's a lot so a whole day was not enough to get to know all of them but I'll try to share as much.

Zenfone 3

Zenfone 3 has 5 different models.  Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser has the same exterior look but the specifications vary of course.  I've passed by Zenfone Stores around the Metro and noticed that they don't have an on-hand unit for you to check out and play.  So I'm showing you here the actual look and feel.  Also pay attention to the model name because each model has a different specification.  This post will orient you with the distinctions as you can check the paper specifications you can just check out the official website.

Zenfone 3

The Zenfone 3 is their mainstream model.  If you notice the design is very different from the Zenfone 2.  It fits my petite lady hand perfectly.  The 2.5 contour edge glass is scratch-resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass.  It no longer has a curve back.  The finish is so fine and comfortable to hold. 

The Zenfone 3 ZE552KL comes in 3 colors: Shimmer Gold, Sapphire Black and Moonlight White.  It has a screen display of 5.5" HD.  While the Zenfone 3 ZE520KL has a screen display of 5.2".  It has a 16MP ASUS PixelMaster 3.0 Camera (Sony IMX298 sensor).  

Zenfone 3 Deluxe has a screen display of 5.7".   It is a full metal bodied and is the world’s first
smartphone to use the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 821 processor, Adreno™ 530 GPU.  This is said to arrive in the Philippines on October.

Ever since I got my Zenfone 2, I had been hooked with the fun of mobile photography.  If there's one specification of Zenfone 3 Deluxe that caught my attention is its superior 23MP camera with the latest Sony IMX318 image sensor.

I was also impressed with the quick focus and stability of the Zenfone 3 as shown by this actual test.  Zenfone 3 is the one on the right.

Berber Rugs - An Overview

The word Berber refers to a style of carpeting that traditionally was seen in light, solid neutral background colors with flecks of darker colors, usually brown or gray. Berber carpets originated in North Africa where they were hand woven by the Berber people of the area using a distinctive hand-knotting technique. They are still made by hand there and often at the homes of families who have been making them for centuries. These rugs provide income for the families who sell them at local bazaars and markets, as well as to tourists and to merchants who will re-sell them.

These homemade Berbers sometimes incorporate local and cultural designs, and are usually made of natural materials. They still feature the unique knotted texture they are famous for, but they are now available in bright colors and designs as well as the traditional neutrals with flecks.

Contemporary Berber carpets are made of looped pile to look like the originals. Like the tribal Berbers, the contemporary Berbers are most often found in the plain neutral colors with darker flecks; but they can also be found in solid colors without the flecks. They have been popular with consumers for years, but until recently were used predominantly in high traffic areas such as dens or offices. Now, however, you can find them used anywhere in a house that wants a clean, stylish look, from bedrooms to dining rooms and even living rooms.

Berber carpets fit well into the contemporary lifestyle for several reasons. Besides being good looking and stylish, they have the advantage of not being statement rugs; instead, they blend well with almost any style of furniture and home. This means that even when you decide to redecorate, the Berbers can make the transition with you, no matter what your new decorating style is.

They are also easy to clean, so if Fido has an accident or the kids come in from playing in the dirt and roll around on the carpet, you can get your rug clean with a minimum of effort. Because of their looped construction, spills don’t sink into the carpet easily; instead, they tend to remain on the surface, so if you get to them in a reasonable time, you will probably be able to prevent any real visible damage. The flecked Berbers are especially good at hiding minor stains or soiling.

There are many types of modern Berbers made from various different materials including nylon, olefin and wool. Of the newer fibers, olefin is the easiest to clean. Well-made Berbers of any material are very durable, and they can stand up to most kinds of family-and-pet punishment. It usually only takes running a vacuum cleaner over the rug to make it look great again, but make sure to turn off the rotating brush that can pull and snag at the threads before you start vacuuming.

Berber rugs generally tend to cost less than cut-pile carpets because they require fewer steps to make. All carpets start out as looped, but Berbers remain that way, with no need to do any further cutting or patterning. Other cut-pile carpets that begin as looped need to have the tops of the looped sheared off so that sometimes elaborate patterns and different depths can be created.

While Berber carpets can cost less than cut pile carpets, they are available in a wide range of price points, so it is possible to spend as much on a top of the line Berber as you would on a cut pile rug. But the widespread idea that you get more for your money with a Berber is generally true, since they are sturdy and easy to clean with a high degree of stain resistance.

One disadvantage of Berber rugs is that it is possible to cause them to snag or run, since the loop construction makes it possible for something – like a cat’s claw – to get caught in the loop and then pull it out of place. However, it takes a lot of force to do this, and even if it does happen, it is very unusual for that snag to become completely unraveled and turn into a run. What to Do If Your Voting Receipt is NOT the Same as Your Ballot

 ANO ANG DAPAT GAWIN KUNG HINDI TUGMA ANG RESIBO SA BALOTA?

1. Upon receipt of your BALLOT, copy (and write on your hand) your  BALLOT ID NUMBER located at the upper right portion of your ballot.  Don't write on your BALLOT. 
(1. Pag natanggap na ang balota, kopyahin ang BALLOT ID number na matatagpuan sa pinakataas at kanang bahagi ng balota. Isulat ang BALLOT ID number sa inyong kamay o sa isang maliit na piraso ng papel. Iwasang sulatan ang gilid ng balota.)

*If you see light pink color line on your ballot form, pls ask BEI to change that because that is already Mar - Leni even if you vote other presidentiable/vp candidates.

 2. Clearly mark the circle of your candidate.  Upon completion, head to the VCM scanner and PERSONALLY insert your BALLOT and wait for your VOTING RECEIPT.   If unsure how to insert, ask for assistance BUT still PERSONALLY INSERT YOUR BALLOT. (Upon insertion, your VOTE will already count)
(2. Markahan ng maigi ang loob ng bilog na tugma sa ibobotong kandidato. Kapag kumpleto na ang balota, magtungo sa VCM scanner. Ipasok ang balota sa VCM scanner at maghintay hanggang lumabas ang resibo. Kung hindi tayo sigurado paano ipasok ang balota sa VCM scanner, magpatulong po tayo ngunit HUWAG hayaang iba ang gumawa nito para sa iyo. Ikaw mismo dapat ang magpasok ng balota sa scanner.)

3. Upon receipt of your VOTING RECEIPT, compare with your BALLOT:
IF CORRECT: drop your BALLOT to the BALLOT BOX (REMEMBER: You can't take it home or bring it out of the precinct.
IF WRONG: 
a. Write your BALLOT ID at the back of the VOTING RECEIPT and sign on it.  (So it can be cross referenced and this will be the basis of your complaint to invalidate your wrong vote)
b. Look for the BEI Chairman of your precinct.
c. Have your incident be reported in the logbook.  Check if the report is correct BEFORE giving your VOTING RECEIPT to the BEI Chairman. 

(3. Kapag natanggap na ang resibo, umalis sa harapan ng scanner para magbigay daan sa ibang botante. Suriing mabuti ang resibo. Kung tugma ito sa balota mo, ihulog ang resibo sa nakaabang na kahon. Tandaan, hindi maaaring iuwi o ilabas ng presinto ang resibo.
PAANO KUNG HINDI TUGMA ANG RESIBO SA BALOTA MO?
Kung hindi ayon ang boto mo sa lumabas na resibo, maaring may blangko o ibang pangalan ang lumabas. Ito ang mga dapat gawin:
a. Isulat ang BALLOT ID number sa LIKOD ng resibo at pirmahan ito.
b. Lumapit sa BEI Chairman ng presinto. Sabihin ang reklamo.
c. Tungkulin ng BEI na gumawa ng report ukol sa iyong reklamo. Isusulat ang detalye ng iyong reklamo sa logbook. Siguraduhing tama ang report. Ibigay ang iyong resibo sa BEI para maisama sa logbook.
IMPORTANTE pong mai-REPORT ang mga REKLAMO at nakasaad ang BALLOT ID number sa likod ng resibo. Ito po ay magsisilbing katibayan ng reklamo. Sa ganitong paraan, mas madaling i-tugma ang iyong balota sa resibo upang wala ng magamit na katwiran ang COMELEC na hindi pansinin o i-dismiss ang ating mga REKLAMO.)
