In a life that seems like a never ending cycle, how do you keep on moving on and aiming higher? For me, the answer is the simple process of working hard and rewarding myself for every milestone. As a student, I used to reward myself with a tall cup of
Mocha Frappucino from
Starbucks. I use my break time for that satisfactory session of reading and sipping. But recently, I've upgraded from the short-term pleasures of a luxurious cup of coffee into long-term trophies in the form of useful items as I've discovered an interesting cool store named
UniQube PH at the third floor of the
University Mall along Taft Avenue (beside
De La Salle University Manila).
As the name implies, there are different cubes or boxes carrying various merchandise. Trust me, you'll find new stuff there in every visit. And, that's what makes it exciting and fun.
As I've noticed, I'm not the only one who has become hooked in checking it out every once in a while when I have the time. I've come to realize that the same amount I'm spending for a cup of
coffee which only gratifies me for an hour or so can be saved and spent
for things that can give me or others joy for a longer period.
While I was there, I can't help but already think ahead for gift items for myself and for people I know...
